What is an Apprenticeship? • Work-based learning programmes that enable individuals to earn a wage whilst gaining on the job experience and skills that lead to nationally recognised qualifications. • New and existing staff who want to gain further qualifications and develop skills. • Framework Levels • Apprenticeship – Level 2 (equivalent to five GCSEs at grades A*-C) • Advanced Apprenticeship – Level 3 (equivalent to two or more A Levels) • Higher Apprenticeship – Level 4/5 (equivalent to BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND)) Better Care Better Health Better Life
