History of KenyaGAP • 1997 First version of FPEAK Code of Practice • 1999 2nd Revised version of the Code • 2004 FPEAK code of practice evolved into • First draft of Kenya Gap • February 2005, National EurepGap Technical working group . • September 2005 Industry validation of: • – Kenya-GAP/EurepGap Interpretation guidelines for smallholders • – QMS guideline. • October 2005, KenyaGAP sent for benchmarking to EurepGap • August 2007 KenyaGAP benchmarked to EurepGAP Making Kenyan Horticulture the Global Choice
