  3. Personality Lineup Phil Thompson Weekdays 5a-9a Wichita’s only live and local Rock Morning Show, wakes up Wichita with lots of fun! Phil’s morning show brings the best classic rock mixed with the latest news, fun games, and the best of Wichita every weekday morning from 5-9am. A few words from Phil: When I was a kid I loved listening to the radio and calling in to play the contests. When I was in 6th grade, a friend of mine and I skipped school and walked over to the radio station to watch the d.j. do his show.  It was the first time I ever skipped school. Being a d.j. is all I wanted to do. In the late 70's I was working as a d.j. at several local nightclubs when I became friends with some of the local radio guys that would come out to do live broadcasts.  One of them turned out to be a guy I went to High School with and he encouraged me to come out to the station and apply.  So I did.  A couple months later I got the phone call that would change my life... I was hired!   I didn't have a car so I would hitchhike to and from work every night! That was 1980 and I've been working in Wichita radio ever since.

  4. Personality Lineup Mark Good Weekdays 10a-3p A little more about Mark: I am Mark Good born and bred in Kansas!!! Graduated High School at Goddard Senior High and went on to work in radio in 1995. Been in radio ever since!! Also I run an Aquarium Maintenance business when I am not busy with radio. I love the station I work for and talk on the radio everyday from 10a til 2p on 104.5 The Fox. And I LOVE IT!! I’m also all hands on deck for all the rest of the stations for E.W. Scripps Wichita. Here is some more info about me: FAVORITE FOOTBALL TEAM: Kansas City Chiefs SOME FAVORITE ARTISTS: Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Tom Petty, OzzyOsbourne, The Doors and the list goes on and on. PETS: I have a Great Pyrenees (Blue) and a Sheppard mix (Kola) 2 cats (Roadrunner, Kitty) FAVORITE MOVIE GENRE: Comedy FAVORITE MOVIE: Big Lebowski, Goodfellas (not so funny lol), Tombstone, Austin Powers FAVORITE TV SHOW: Anything History Channel or Discovery Channel / Nat Geo FAVORITE FOOD: Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, American, Thai, you get the hint.lol HOBBIES: Metal Detecting, Arrowhead hunting, Aquariums, Lost artifact hunter!! MOST MEMORABLE TRIP: Jamaica, Mexico, Maui, Caribbean are some of my favs BUCKET LIST TRIP: Europe CRAZIEST RADIO STUNT: Bungee Jumping live on the air w microphone taped to my forearm (Thankfully I didn’t curse!!) WHY I LOVE RADIO: The business is addicting the people are the main reason I got into radio I love to meet people of all walks of life!! The most interesting people on the planet to the good ole Ma and Pas. Its such a great business to have the opportunity to be a part of!! Of course all the great music we get to play!!   5. Personality Lineup Roxanne Stuart Weekdays 3p-7p Roxanne Stuart (Roxx) has been in radio since the mid 70's... Transplanted from Los Angeles in 2001, Roxx has taken root here in Kansas, living on a smal farm with husband, a ton of chickens, three horses, and four cats. She plants more tomatoes than six people could possible eat every season. A little more about Roxanne: Hey ya'll!  Roxx here.  I've lived in Wichita on and off through the years, this time I'm here for 14 years, a transplant from Los Angeles, where I lived in Culver City, a town almost exactly the same size as Wichita!  I'm a military brat, and whenever I haven't been doing radio, I was doing flowers, designing for large events and film and television.  FAVE SPORTS:  All sports, Baseball fore mostly,  however I really love curling, JaiLai, Noodling and Punkin Chunkin‘!  PETS: My husband Francis and I have 4 cats (Beedub, Ziggah, Pinkus and Jimmy T), three horses and a flock of about 30 chickens including our favorite rooster "GaGa" who is a very handsome young man!  MOVIES:  Former Los Angeleno, I love ALL THINGS FILM!  TV:  Love KPTS, SciFy, History Channel and the Weather Channel (weather geek!)  GUILTY PLEASURE:  Nifty Nuthouse, sleeping outside at my farm all Sunday afternoon!  FOOD:  Yes, I'll have some of what you're having!  Right now loving lunches at the Ambassador Hotel, and mushroom soup from either DeFazios, The Monarch or N&J Café.  HOBBIES:  Music, all kinds;  Antiquing ( I have a booth at the Derby Antique Marketplace), travel, reading, reading, reading, flowers, gardening, and driving really really fast (closet drag racer here, don't tell the law!)  TRAVEL:  Love it!  Every trip is awesome because I always meet the coolest people and see the coolest things!  WHY I LOVE RADIO:  I've lived with a radio in my ear since I was seven and my granddad would listen to the ballgames on the radio...Radio connects us, makes us neighbors and I'm all about taking care of my neighbors! 1045thefox.com

  6. Personality Lineup Peter James Weekends Coming to us from Tucson, Az Pete will make your daily drive home each day much more enjoyable. A little more about Pete: My dad was a man of few words, that left room for radio filling the space in the car when I was young. Whether it was a Brewers game or Paul Harvey telling you “the rest of the story”. It’s those car rides I credit with my love of radio. I spent 12 years working radio in the desert of Tucson Az. With Wichita now my home I’m enjoying things like seasons (even the cold ones), grass and water. A bit of an everyman, with knowledge an inch deep and a mile wide. You’ll find it hard to match my passion for radio. I like comic book movies, Cap’n Crunch and eat more pizza than an adult human should ever. I can also tell you where to find the best IPA in the city and blind taste the difference between a Napa Cab and a French Bordeaux. I like sports, although I don’t “have a team” I root for. I like dogs and cats equally, very politically correct of me I know. Weekly from 2-6p I’ll help you get home from the workplace or help you unwind on the weekends.
