  2. The school was first established by Ms StavroulaAvgoulea-Linardatou in 1949, when she was still only 23, indeed at the end of an overwhelming and annihilating decade for Greece. Her vision was to create a school which would utilise novel and innovative teaching ways in order to promote the students’ learning and creative skills while at the same time boost their self-esteem and confidence, thus leading towards the effortless acquisition of knowledge and the building of a complete and sound personality.

THE SCHOOL IN OUR DAYS Nowadays, after over 60 years, our school has become an educational organisation which covers all education stages from nursery school to upper-secondary school , with about 1,400 students and 260 employees. Since 1991 Mr. George Linardatos, the son of the school’s founder, has taken over the management of the school, which, besides being a source of knowledge , also promotes cultural sensitisation and educational innovation.

  7. The secondary and upper-secondary departments of our school aim at equipping our 12-18 year-old students with all the necessary skills , both vocational and personal, which will help them fulfill their professional and personal goals in life. • With the aim of attaining this target :

  8. * we teach all subjects using state-of-the-art technology

  9. *we lay emphasis on hands-on learning

  10. *we encourage our students to participate in European Projects

  13. *we urge students to work on projects and enter Literature, Physics, Maths, Oratory and other competitions

  16. *we stage musical and theatrical performances

  17. * we organisemany field trips

  18. *we organiseseminars on the school premises for students, parents and teachers

  19. *we help our students edit and publish their own magazine

  20. *we spur our students on to participate in all kinds of sports, athletic and other games

  21. *we organise summer trips , camp sessions and trips abroad
