  2. This Session • Duration: 1 hour • Audience: Teaching staff who are using Blackboard and would like their students to submit their assignments online. • Aims: An introduction to Turnitin. How to set up Turnitin assignments and access originality reports. Bryony Bramer, Chris Rowell & Anna Shaw

Learning Objectives After this session you will: • Understand the basics of how to use Turnitin. • You will be able to: • Create a Turnitin assignment within Blackboard. • Identify the different ways Turnitin can be used. • Upload an assignment to Turnitin. • Access the students’ assignments. • View Turnitin’s originality reports. Task 1 Try out Turnitin as a student: • Write a 1-2 page document about your favouriteanimal or your favourite holiday destination (using some of your own words and content copied from the Internet). • Upload your document to the Turnitin assignment submission area and view the originality report.
