Corrective Actions for Geometry Errors in DFBMC 5L8 and Q5 Elbow Positioning

Analysis of the relative positions of DFBMC 5L8 and Q5 after intervention. Identified geometry errors and corrective measures. DFBMC raised by 22mm due to low height. Impact assessment on various interfaces. No mechanical interferences detected, only minor corrections needed for busbar pipe slope. Adjustment of water-cooled cables.

  2. Relative positions of DFBMC.5L8 and Q5

  3. Geometry of DFBMC.5L8 link after intervention plug elbow DFBMC Origin for graphs Q5 22 mm

  4. Summary • The geometry of the link was not correct • The Q5 elbow was not well positioned but still 40mm ΔH: not critical • The DFMC was too low by approx. ~20 mm, only very little slope of busbar pipe: critical, must be corrected • Corrective actions: • Raised DFBMC by 22 mm • Impact on links to interfaces: • Mechanical interferences : ok • Link to Q5 : ok • WRL piping : ok • instrumentation cables : ok • 120A cables : ok • water cooled cables : raised by 22 mm
