  4. How do they Survive in the temperature? • The fish are suitable for the water that gets up to O-Celsius! These fish are used to the water, and they live there without feeling cold! 5. What Plants are there in the Coral Reefs? • There are the… • Anemones: Little tentacle like plants that release poison. • Sea weed: Green, or black grass type of thing. Black ones are eatable. • Corals: Hard, rocky types of plants. Usually grey, red, white.

  7. What is Special About Reefs?(what resources do you get?) • You can obtain many resources from the ocean, like you can get iron, copper, cobalt, and you can also obtain crude oil by drilling through the ground of the deep sea. • One of the major scientific discoveries was the scuba tanks. They were first made to see what lives underwater, and to get a better view of it. Then it became I way to obtain minerals from the sea bed. • Science helped get the resources by making special machines that locate the oil when it is underground. And they have things that locate iron, cobalt, and nickel. "Ocean Resources - MarineBio.org." MarineBio.org - Marine Biology, Ocean Life Conservation, Sea Creatures, Biodiversity, Oceans Research... Web. 18 Jan. 2012. <http://marinebio.org/oceans/ocean-resources.asp>.

  8. How do people Help or Damage it? • People started damaging the beautiful reefs by polluting the waters by throwing their junk into the water! Many animals are dying from this. There are rules made now that polluting is against the law. It affected it by carrying oil, and causing oil spills. • But people also are trying to save the pacific. And they achieve that goal, by adopting an animal so that they do not get hunted and they will not get extinct. They are saving species, that are about to get eliminated. 10. How do natural causes affect the Reef? • It affects them by feeding them with fish and selling the miscellaneous things that come with the fish, it feeds them and it gets them money. But the fish get extinct because they get caught too often and eaten. Some sharks are in danger, they are in danger because of the famous shark fin soup, it is not worth I life of an innocent shark. They also get affected by global warming. The water gets too hot and the icebergs melt down.

  11. How does economics and industries affect the reefs? • The reefs get affected by industries because they pollute the waters. They do care about the water and our environment, but they do it for the money. The humans think money is more important than anything. They dump their wastes into the water. And sometimes when they dump toxic wastes, it might even start an acid rain! "Sea Pollution :: Environmental Facts :: Young People's Trust for the Environment." 12. Activities. • People also use the pacific ocean for more FUN activities! Such as scuba diving! You explore the underwater in a suit and see how the fish swim around, and what they do. • You see lots of entertaining things like fish playing with each other and how fish feed themselves.
