  1. Acuity Problem Solving 101 Steps and Solutions to common Acuity questions

  2. Problem Solving • Acuity page of website contains this and other helpful power points and help sheets: http://assessment.aurorak12.org/acuity/ • Common issues in Acuity can be quickly and easily solved by the school assessment coordinator, teacher or test proctor • Student login issues • Student test assignment issues • Reports not generating because they keep saying “Items Not Scored”

  3. Student cannot login.Use decision tree below and answer each question. If answer is Yes, follow green line. If answer is No, follow red line.

  4. Information to have ready when calling service desk • School and your name • Student name- first and last • Student id number • Student grade • Teacher name

  5. Student logs in and does not have the start button (no tests are assigned/available)

  6. Items not scored showing on Reports • Go to: Tests, choose Assignment Status, then choose to View Assignment Status. On the next screen enter the grade and subject and click Search.  • Once you see the assessment name pop up below that, click on the blue hyperlinked name of the test assignment

  7. List of schools (click the plus sign to open your school to see specific classes/students).

  8. In progress status: how to correct • To correct/move students to Scored from “In Progress”, clicking finish is required. Train teachers and students that whenever a student is finished with the MC items, they must click red FINISH. • All students “In Progress” will need to login (or teacher or SAC can do) and choose Take a test, the subject, click continue, then next, and then continue. When the test comes up use the navigation across the bottom to click the word End. Then on the end page, click the red Finish button. • For reading and math predictive we can force close any students still showing “in Progress” at the end of the assessment window. • To avoid students showing as “In Progress” train proctors to have students click red Finish button when they are done with MC items.

  9. Partially Scored Status: how to correct • If students are showing in the “Partially Scored” column, that means that CR scores have not yet been entered (or processed-it is taking approx. 3 days for CR scores to process and upload to the site in this extremely high volume time of the window). Please make sure teachers know to enter CR scores prior to the end of the window if they have any students still showing as “Partially Scored”.
