  6. Keeping the Campus Clean and Green is Up to All of Us! • Place trash in designated receptacles throughout campus • Utilize recycling collection points located in each building • Only smoke in designated areas, and dispose of cigarette butts and used matches in provided ashtrays

Online Services • Student E-mail • HCC Student Login ID: First letter of your first name, first SEVEN letters of your last name, and the last FOUR digits of your Student ID (Examples: John Doe: jdoe1234; Mary Washington: mwashing1234) • Password: Your birth date in mmddyy format • HCC email address: Add@howardcc.edu to your login ID (Example: John Doe’s email address is jdoe1234@howardcc.edu) • Check email regularly for important updates! • HCC Express.net • Same username and initial password (birthdate) as your e-mail • Online Registration / Grades / Transcript / Drop-Add • Check your Financial Aid status

Online Services • Wireless Internet • Available in designated areas on campus • Use your laptop or computers in the Café and outside Student Life • Login using your student email account credentials • Computer Study Lab • Located in DH 110 and CL 129 • Login using your HCC email account credentials • Free printing up to 250 sheets per semester • If you have time today, stop in to get started with your login!

General Emergency Guide • In case of emergency: • Call Security at 410-772-4882 • Use red emergency phones • Immediate threat: call 9-1-1 • Types of Emergencies • Evacuation: Fire, smoke, bomb threat • Leave the building immediately through nearest EXIT and Stairways. Do not use Elevators. • Proceed to the nearest Assembly Area. • Shelter in place: Environmental hazards, tornado • Close all doors and windows to the outside • In case of tornado, move to Tornado Safety Areas • Lockdown: Criminal or violent act, shooter or hostage • Call 9-1-1 • Seek shelter in secure room with locking door • Turn off lights, stay away from windows, and remain quiet
