  2. Morning Devotions Mark 1:3535Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

  4. WHO Jesus -. Did this to strengthen His relationship with the FatherHe did not fail in everything He did because he communes with God

  5. WHO We usually do things as others do it. But God have a plan for us to succeed.If you want a solution God has a plan for you everyday.

  6. WHAT Devotion - shows love, enthusiasm to a person or a cause.Shows how much you love Jesus

  7. WHAT LOVE Spell TIME

  8. WHEN The best is to do this in the morning right after you wake up-your mind is open and can easily receive from God.

  9. WHEN “Give us this day our daily bread” – speaks not of bread of but the Word of God.

  10. WHERE On the Mountain – secret place with God.You need to find your own secret place

  11. WHY There is no strict reason

  12. WHY My reason is because I love and I want my love for Him to increase

  13. WHY -we must progress-we are blessed by doing our devotions but this is just a bonus

  14. STEPS

  15. Step 1 Realize that personal devotions have to be a choice.

  16. Step 2 Do devotions as soon as you wake up.

  17. Step 3 Have a set place for devotion and certain ideas on how you will "do" devotion.

  18. Step 4 Start by listening to God, read the Bible and spend time meditating on it.

  19. Step 5 Involve prayer in your meditation.

  20. Step 6 Set out to read a passage of Scripture.

  21. Step 7 Do not beat yourself up about missing a daily devotion.

  22. Step 8 Keep a devotional journal.

  23. Step 9 “Go through a few questions before starting”. Remah – what passage speaks to me Promises – What God wants to do Command- What God wants me to do Application- What I should do

  24. Step 10 Enjoy the relationship.
