NJ STARS • Beginning in Fall 2012: • NJ STARS • Top 15% of class • Tuition ONLY (students responsible for fees/books) • NJ STARS II • $2,500 annual scholarship (3.25 GPA or better) • Four semesters of eligibility • Maintain a 3.25 GPA or higher • Ineligible for NJ STARS if family income exceeds $250,000 * See handout for more details on impact to “Current” NJ STARS students!

COUNSELOR ADVOCACY • NJSCA continually seeks feedback from its membership to learn what “issues” are facing school counselors • How can NJSCA help you? • NJSCA has worked collaboratively with the NJDOE to develop the “NJ Framework” for school counselors The New Jersey School Counseling Initiative II: A Framework for Developing Your Comprehensive K-12 School Counseling Program provides the tools necessary to help school districts and counselors examine current school counseling practices and services and then work to align them with the ASCA National Standards and National Model, NJ Core Content Curriculum Standards.
