  1. Psalm 47 1 Clap your hands, all you nations;    shout to God with cries of joy. 2 For the Lord Most High is awesome,    the great King over all the earth.3 He subdued nations under us,    peoples under our feet.4 He chose our inheritance for us,    the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.

  2. Psalm 47 5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy,    the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.6 Sing praises to God, sing praises;    sing praises to our King, sing praises.7 For God is the King of all the earth;    sing to him a psalm of praise.

  3. Psalm 47 8 God reigns over the nations;    God is seated on his holy throne.9 The nobles of the nations assemble    as the people of the God of Abraham, for the kings of the earth belong to God;    he is greatly exalted.

  4. Deuteronomy 8 16 He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you.17You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

  5. Luke 9:37-43 Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy 37 The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him. 38 A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child. 39 A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him. 40 I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.”

  6. Luke 9:37-43 41 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.” 42Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father. 43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.

  7. Luke 9:37-43 Jesus Predicts His Death a Second Time While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did, he said to his disciples,
