  • Pulser sync problem resolved

    • No LVDS Trigger pulse from ARC VME Controller board

    • Discovered ARC VME Controller board assembly error

  • Complete 4 Hybrid-PA Test time of 42 min

  • Complete testing of newly bonded Hybrid/PA’s

    • Hybrid 30216711500708

  • Introduced intentional open wire-bonds in one Hybrid/PA which were detected during testing.

Pulser troubleshooting
Pulser Troubleshooting

  • Pulser had been triggering on noise. Needs to be synchronized with ARC Clock .

    • Twisted cable from ARC Controller card used

    • Eliminated noise in UCSB LVDS/CMOS Converter

  • No LVDS signals from ARC Controller Card

  • LVDS Driver and LVDS Receiver U32 and U33 were switched during board assembly. Problem was never discovered.

  • External Buss connector and associated IC’s on lower left of photo.

  • U32 and U33 Switched on these boards causing inoperative External Buss function.

  • Install copper grounding bars at each hybrid test position to reduce noise levels

    • this method has been tested and verified

  • Reduce mass of aluminum hybrid test position base plate

    • Reduce thermal mass of chamber to reduce test time
