  4. Dissemination and end user involvement • Advice from boards in the 4 countries • Transnational board.

  5. Urgent needs from stakeholders • Forecasts on new groundwater levels, flow patterns and recharge.- Locally. • Description of new innovative procedures and tools for mapping groundwater resources and vulnerability • Description of the uncertainties in climate and groundwater modelling • Description of the expected future groundwater quality, and potential risk of leaching of pollutants e.g nutrients and pesticides. • Description of risks of salinization of groundwater aquifers.

  6. WaterCAP cluster project • Cluster sixprojects • All related to water and CC • Aim: • Learn • Find synergies • Approach Commision in Brussels • Give recommendations to InterReg VB

  8. Key results • Overview of Climate adaptation in NSR- • synthesis report • Wow stories • Network in DG’s in Brussels

  9. WOW stories • Land owners as water managers • Water sensing decision system: An answer to drought • Growing Coasts: Building with Nature to prevent flooded areas • SkyTEM: Sampling geodata • Constructed Wetlands: A win-win solution!

  10. Water sensing system Irrigation Farmer

  11. Learning WaterCAP • Built on the multibeneficial agenda: • Do not onlycreatvalue for nature but also: • Economy • Job creation • Innovation

  12. Learning points - Continued The cost will be lower if we plan ahead: • Improve forecast and scenarios • Data availability for public • Design infrastructure to cope with increased rain • Built systems that lower the water consumption in e.g agriculture • Find win-win solutions across disciplines and sectors
