  2. Problem • There is “climate change” in education. • Today’s students engage with the learning differently from students of yesterday. • This calls for bridging the technological gap in the educational sector.

  4. Determine the impact of the iCampus initiative on the institutions’ key performance indicators (KPIs). Obtain feedback or insights for the overall iCampus initiative Determine if and to what extent the institutions are implementing iCampus or if they plan to in the future. Study Objectives

  5. Definition of iCampus Pillars

  6. iLearning iLearning Holistic eLearning, collaborative student care system, real-time remote distance learning, user on-demand course delivery and assessment, interactive cross-varsity lectures and online materials, customized course programme, analysis of student learning path, push/pull eInfos, eBooks & other eResources, etc.

  7. iManagement iManagement Centralized building management and maintenance, auto emergency system, automated surveillance, security access and control, etc.

  8. iGovernance iGovernance Campus internal and external governance, process visibility, adaptability, self-configurability, auto presetting and reporting, etc.

  9. iSocial iSocial Social networking & communication, information sharing, work collaboration, social localization, pattern analysis, interest grouping, etc.

  10. iGreen iGreen Green ICT and sustainability, smart energy harvesting, intelligent sensor management system, passive and active design, etc.

  11. iHealth iHealth Proactive, preventative health care, remote healthcare system, mobile health, telecare, telemedicine, centralized eHealth records, intelligent eBioinformatics, early epidemic alert platform, etc.

  33. Implications • 50% state that intelligent, smart, and planned solutions have some impact on their institutions’ KPIs. • There were few “strong impact” responses to the iPillars on the KPIs. Over half of the responses were “some impact”. • The iCampus proposition is a long-term initiative.
