Agenda 1 pm Introductions, Safety Moment, purpose of today’s session (Kim) 1:15 pm Presentations on existing nonprofit (NFP) shared centres in Fort McMurray: • Diane Shannon, Redpoll Centre • Erica Hornsey, Wood Buffalo Community Village 1:45 pm MacDonald Island (MI) NFP Shared Space update (Kim) 2:00 -4:00 pm Visioning & discussion ( Brock & Lisa)

  3. MI Shared Space Community Centre • Vision • Consultation • Need to clearly define objectives (conditions of success) for the centre, including the development of a mission • Timelines

MI Shared Space Community Centre • MI Board has created an expansion construction committee with several sub-committees including one for baseball, the stadium and one for shared space • The shared space committee will also have two sub-committees – one for design/ construction and one for governance/ operations

  5. MI Shared Space Community Centre • Next steps, further consultation sessions in February & March specific to the MI NFP Shared Space Centre • Will be going to RMWB in June for approval re: Tier 1 plans • For more information, contact Kim Nordbye or Michele Taylor
