  3. What must be done prior to the start of the Season

  4. Background Check Background Check Form Must be turned in by August 8th

  5. Liberty Approved Certification • NYSCA –If you have completed the NYSCA certification, you only need to renew your membership • Liberty – A LYAA approved clinic. This year LaSalle University will assist in this process - July 27th, 6 – 9 pm • Coaches will have to sign In and Out to be certificated.

  6. Getting the Jump On • Pop Warner prohibits practicing prior to August 1st • Team Found practicing prior to August 1st, will be suspended from post season play and fined $300.00

  7. Adult Rules

  8. Practice • 10 hours per week prior to Labor Day • 6 hours per week after Labor Day • 10 hours of conditioning prior to equipment • 10 hours of equipment prior to scrimmages

  9. What must be done prior to the participants registration

  10. Certification • Organization will be assigned dates and times for their Certification session. Continuing with last year’s structure, the league will go to each site to initiate the certification process. Note: The process will be for both Cheer and Football. • The certification can take place in or outdoors, but in the event of rain the scheduled team MUST have an indoor facility for their session. • Please Note: No Session will exceed one hour in time, so preparation on your organization’s part is important. All teams must be ready at their schedule time and Liberty Roster Form (82A) must be completed in its entirety, excluding the child’s signature.

  12. Certification (continues) • Prior to the Players and Cheerleaders being placed in line the participant must be given their ID card (2004 or the complete version of 2005). Once in line, prior to signing the Liberty Roster Form (82A) the participant will hand the ID card to the LYAA representative. Note: The rep will reject any ID card where the photo does not meet the required specifications (i.e. to small, to dark). • Participants not completed at the first session will be given an opportunity the following week. The drop/add will take place on the 14th of September, this will be the last opportunity to add or drop a participant.

Verification • The Verification • Each organization will be required to have two representative report to their assigned location for verification of players’ information, the name and phone number of this individual must be submitted on August 16th. • Organizations will be required to report to their assigned location for verification of players and bring the following for each participant: • Personal Profile (Form 99) completely filled out. Note for 2005, profile requires a second photo attached.** • Proof of Age – Birth cert, Medical card, Baptismal, Student ID, Current LYAA ID, other • Original or copy of June Report card • Note: Any original received will not be returned. • Above information must be submitted for verification inside a clear plastic sleeve with 3 ring binder holes on the left side. (See example) • PLEASE NOTE: ANY FINE LEVIED DUE TO CONDUCT MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO THE NEXT CERTICIFICATION SESSION, RECEIPT OF ID CARD(S) OR SCHEDULED GAME(S). • BINDERS WILL NOT BE RETURNED • ** If forms are not filled out as required, the participant or team will not be verified until corrections, additions or required information is furnished.

  14. What happens on game day

Weigh In Process • To facilitate the weigh in process, the scale should be one that can be set up along pass or fail limits, i.e., be capable of being preset to balance at the maximum and minimum allowable weights In this way, a line of players can step onto the scale and have their weights quickly judged • A 25 lb weight must first be placed on the scale and balanced prior to each team being weighed. • Once the player step off the scale, they must stay in line and sign the game roster. Those players not making the prescribe weigh shall not sign the game roster and must turn their jersey inside out.

  16. Mandatory Play Rule • The ultimate Responsibility is Yours • All kids must play. At the end of the 3rd period, those players that have not reached there MP must enter the game and stay in the game until the MP’s have been reached. • What’s the penalty for not adhering? The Head Coach maybe suspended for the next game and the player(s) must START the next game and complete the missed plays from the previous game. In addition you may forfeit of the game. • Note: Your rep has been instructed to turn in the MP sheet on Monday. On off weeks of meeting the MP must be faxed by 3 pm, the Monday following the game (failure to comply will result in fines and game forfeiture).

  18. It is our hope that problem never occur, but of course things happen. • Some issues must be resolved by way of Protest. Complete a protest form, submit to the grievance chairmen, along with your protest fee of a $100.00. • Note: The burden of proof lies with the protestor.
