  4. 2009 saw a dramatic increase in the number of prescription glasses that we have in our portable inventory. The number of RX glasses went from 2400 to a total of 3880.

Special Projects Medical Mission Exchange Locate and facilitate referrals of underserved patients to appropriate medical specialists – Plastic Surgeons, Orthopedists, Rehab Facilities Provide better continuity of care for mission patients by allowing for follow-up Advertise your team’s visit and solicit needed medical specialists

A patient you can’t help comes along… • Those familiar with Honduras know the situation– you see a patient in clinic whose needs are far beyond the capabilities of your team… • He may have cataracts or a club foot and you have no surgeons on your team. • Instead of leaving that patient to his own devices to find the additional care and worrying about him for months, there is another step you can take!

  17. A FAILED PROGRAM RISES FROM THE ASHES The Computer School in Limon was built and furnished in 2007. It stayed basically vacant and unused until 2009. Now it is home for a dozen or so budding computer geeks.

  18. Special Projects Clinica de los Angeles This simple two room clinic is the only source of health care for the people of Belaire and surrounding villages. Many of Evelyn’s patients walk down from the mountains.

  19. Belaire, Honduras Belaire is a small village that is about 20 kilometers east of La Ceiba. It is the second little village beyond Jutiapa.
