Elections • Elections officer is Rob Savoy (email elections@feds.ca) • Available now on Nominees page • (http://www.feds.ca/elections/important-dates) • Nominations Period • January 6, 2014, 9:00 a.m., to January 20, 2014, 4:00 p.m • The Nomination period for Senate closes on January 17, 2014 at 4 p.m. • All Candidates Meeting • January 20, 2014, 4:30 p.m • Interim Period • January 21, 2014, Midnight, to January 28, 2014, Midnight • Campaigning • January 28, 2014, Midnight, to February 11, 2014, Midnight • Feds Voting • February 11, 2014, 10:00 a.m. to February 13, 2014, 10:00 p.m.

Internal Initiatives • President’s Advisory Committee • Did not meet • Policies and Procedures Committee • Did not meet • Nominating Committee • Met December 16th • Board of Directors • Approved a tender for the Governance Review • Currently evaluating Board Procedures and the St. Jerome’s MOU • Next meeting is January 14 • Students’ Council Input Sessions • Attended by 4 councilors • Several student-centric items chosen • See additional Council Presentation for further details

External Representation • Office of Advancement • Discussed Feds’ student space policy • Dean Andre Roy • Discussed environmental and social responsibility and collaborated on a sustainability policy • Christina Stapleton • Discussed student athletes and their needs • Senate • https://uwaterloo.ca/secretariat/sites/ca.secretariat/files/uploads/files/20140106oagsen.pdf • Board of Governors • Attended a strategic planning retreat and appointed a new VP Academic and Provost • Strategic Plan Working Group • Discussed equity, diversity, respect and responsibility of students, faculty, and staff on our campus in the Sound Values Working Group • SSAC (Student Services Advisory Committee) • Discussed student-controlled fees • VPAP Nominating Committee • Selected a new Vice-President and Academic and Provost • St. Paul’s GreenHouse • Collaborated on a sustainability policy • Geoff McBoyle and Chris Read • Advocated for a school closure on January 7th
