Additionally, we explore alternative methods of measuring company size, such as market capitalization and assets. Finally, we turn our focus local by listing five businesses in our area, analyzing their size, and discussing their connection to larger corporate entities.

Decide what size they are and explain why you think this. • Be aware that a local branch might be part of a larger business eg a McDonalds restaurant is just one of many thousands controlled by the American based company.
