  14. BPAP SETUP • Setting the Humidifier When the optional InH2™ Heated Humidifier is used, this setting can change the temperature and humidity of airflow between level 0 to 5. Default setting is 3.

  15. BPAP SETUP • Setting the Altitude The altitude setting can be changed between level 0 to 2. Default setting is 0. • 0 = less than 2,460 ft. (<750 m) • 1 = 2,460 to 4,921 ft. (750 m to 1500 m) • 2 = 4,924 to 8,202 ft. (1501 m to 2500 m) • *over 8,202 ft. = The airflow pressure may not be accurate. Contact your home care provider to have your pressure setting adjusted.

  16. BPAP SETUP • Setting Auto ON When the RESmart BPAP is standby and wearing mask, your deep breath will start airflow automatically. Default setting is Enable.

  17. BPAP SETUP • Setting Auto Off When the mask is removed, the RESmart BPAP will stop airflow automatically. Default setting is Enable. • Note:We advice you can set Auto Off is Disable. Most machine may appear this kind of problem, because apnea and mask off  is not to be judged at pressure lower than 7 hpa

  18. BPAP SETUP • Setting the LCD Light This setting allows you to adjust the LCD light among Auto, On and Off. Default setting is Auto. • Auto: LCD light will be turned on when any button pressing and turned off after few seconds. • On: LCD light will be turned ON always. • Off: LCD light will be turned OFF always.

When a large, continuous air leak (such as mask removal) has been detected in the circuit, this setting enables/disables the audible alert (a beeping sound). This setting is only effective when the Auto Off setting is disabled. (This function is NOT available on certain model.) Default setting is Disable.

  20. BPAP SETUP • Setting the Delay Off When the optional InH2™ Heated Humidifier is used, this setting allows the air flow continue for about 15 minutes at very low pressure (about 2hPa) after RESmart Device is turned off. This will blow off the left vapor and protect the RESmart Device. Default setting is Enable.

  21. BPAP SETUP • Setting the Sensitive(Only 25A) The Sensitive Setting is only available on Auto S mode. This setting can be set from 1(At level 1, the treatment pressure will increase slowly) to 5(More faster than level 1). Default setting is level 3.

  22. BPAP SETUP Setting the RiseTime • Rise time settings are adjustable by the patient and the provider from 0 (off) to 3. Rise time varies from 150 msec to 400msec dependent on patient setting and the pressure differential from IPAP to EPAP. The rise time setting should be adjusted according to the patient comfort level. Default setting is 2 (disable).

  23. BPAP SETUP • Setting the Date The current date is displayed and can be modified if needed. • Note: Check and confirm this Date Setting frequently to ensure the usage blog is correct.

  24. BPAP SETUP • Use Days The number of nights the RESmart was used for therapy for more than 4 hours will appear. This screen is only for reference. Your home care provider may periodically ask you for this information.

  25. BPAP SETUP • I sense • This function will adjust trigger’s sensitivity of inspiration. The setting rang is from 1 to 8. 8 is highest sensitivity.(1.83 vision later)

  26. BPAP SETUP • E sense • This function will adjust trigger’s sensitivity of expiration. The setting rang is from 1 to 8. 8 is highest sensitivity.(1.83 vision later)

  27. BPAP SETUP

  33. BPAP SETUP • CPAP mode: Treat PManual PRampInit PUnitUse TimeSave • S mode: EPAPIPAPManual PRampInitEPAP UnitUse TimeSave • Auto S mode: EPAPIPAP Max IPAPRampInit EPAP  UnitUse TimeSave

  34. BPAP SETUP • Treat P(Only CPAP Mode): The prescription pressure after ramp time. Setting range is 4-20hpa. Adjustment step is 0.5hpa. Default setting is 8hpa.

  35. BPAP SETUP EPAP: (for S mode and Auto S mode) • Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure . This pressure is set as the prescription pressure or less. Setting range is 4-25hPa. Adjustment step is 0.5hPa. Default setting is 6hPa. EPAP data modification is related with IPAP data as well. When EPAP is revised, IPAP will be changed too, the pressure difference value will keep the same.

  36. BPAP SETUP IPAP: (for S mode and Auto S mode) • Inspiratory Positive Airway Pressure . This pressure is set as the prescription pressure or less. Setting range is 4-25hPa. Adjustment step is 0.5hPa. Default setting is 8hPa. IPAP can be revised separately, when you revise IPAP, EPAP will keep the same as before.

  37. BPAP SETUP Max IPAP: • This setting is the maximal pressure which IPAP can reach. Default setting is 20hPa.

  38. BPAP SETUP Manual Pressure: • This setting only for CPAP&S mode. This setting allows user to adjust Treatment Pressure by oneself. Setting range is 0-2hpa/cm H2O. Adjustment step is 0.5hpa/cm H2O. Default setting is 0. • For example: If this setting is 1hpa/cm H2O and Treatment Pressure setting is 8hpa/cm H2O, user may change the treatment pressure between 7-9hpa/cm H2O by pressing +/- User Button.

  39. BPAP SETUP Ramp : • This setting is the ramp timer from starting pressure to prescription pressure. The device gives airflow at the relative lower pressure of Init P from start point of Ramp time, and increases the output pressure to the prescribed pressure in the last 5 minutesduring Ramp. Setting range is 0-60mins with the adjustment step of 5mins. Default setting is 10mins. .

  40. BPAP SETUP • Ramp Starting Pressure: • The starting pressure after blower is turned on. Setting range is 4hPa to BI-LEVEL Treatment Pressure. Adjustment step is 0.5hPa. Default setting is 4hPa. This feature will reduce the pressure and then gradually increase (ramp) the pressure to the prescription pressure setting so you can fall asleep more comfortably.

  41. BPAP SETUP • Unit: • The unit of the output pressure, selectable between hpa and cmH2O.

  42. BAPA SETUP • Use Time: Total hours this RESmart has been used will appear. This number is only for reference.

  43. BPAP SETUP • Save and Exit: The settings are complete. Press the +/- user button to access the SAVE setting and Ramp Button to save all changes and exit the Maintenance Menu. • IMPORTANT!
