  1. Living in Korea... Topic sentence: Living in Korea Controlling idea: as a foreigner is sometimes difficult. Details: a) language b) food c) dating Living in Korea as a foreigner is sometimes difficult for many reasons but here are 3 of them.Language problems, as in foreigners not speaking Korean, can often cause stress for both Koreans and foreigners. It is sometimes difficult for foreigners to go shopping, take a taxi, order online or go to the hospital when they are sick.Ordering food can also be difficult for foreigners and having to change their eating habits to Korean style can have a negative effect on their health. Many foreigners do not really want to try spicy food or new food, which is actually a great part of living in another country like Korea, but challenging at times too. The third reason is dating. Before coming to Korea I had never used the ‘booking’ style in a nightclub and I found it a little strange at first. In addition, there is a different way to ‘date’ in Korea compared to Western thinking. This can sometimes cause embarrassment to both men and women. * Remember to put your details on your work, format it correctly, use transitions, print a copy & bring it to class next week!
