  3. 2. Students’ information 3. Monitors • 2 are needed (preferably a boy and a girl) 4. Chinese input • For typing out name list in both Chinese and English • Sample of the name list will be given

  4. 5. English Society • All F.6 Ss are entitled to be the members of the English Society • Those who are interested in joining the committee of the English Society can put a ‘’ in the name list given

  5. 6. SCMP • 3 packages are provided for Ss to choose from • Package A 170 school days @$1.6 = $272 free gifts (What’s going on? & English in everyday life)

  6. b. Package C 40 days @$2 = $80 (Monday + Wednesday) no free gifts • Package A is highly recommended, especially for the weaker students, because the free gift can be used for self-access learning • Those who choose Package A have to fill in the white form • Exemption – family members have already subscribed to the SCMP and evidence can be shown

  7. 7. English Channel • A monthly magazine $10 @copy ($32@copy at stores) – Oct to July - 10 issues • All F.6 have to subscribe (the exercises provided are similar to the exam questions in Section C) • Excellent for self-study

Retaking CE Exam 2010 • For those who got level 1 in CE English must retake the examination to meet one of the requirements to sit for the A Level exam; those who got level 2 are advised to retake the exam in 2010. • For other subjects, it depends on the relevance to JUPAS application and university entrance requirements.

Stationery needed • a box file of 2-3 inches thick (for keeping the course materials) • a pack of dividers (about 10) • mark the dividers (Listening, Writing, Composition, Reading, Grammar, Oral, Practical Skills, Miscellaneous, Quiz, Test & Exam, Assignments, etc) • the folder will be collected and checked in May, 2010 • a highlighter for marking important points

  11. pencils (for doing listening practice, dictation and multiple choice items) • correction tape Vs correction pen • ball-point pens (either blue or black) • a notebook (for taking notes and noting down vocabulary) • a pack of single-lined paper (A4) (with two punched holes) • plastic folders (A4) (for taking the course materials and assignments to school)

  12. 12. English Corner • Subject monitors are responsible for setting up the English Corner 13. Special arrangement (4/9) • stapling course materials in classroom • bring a stapler (staples will be provided)
