Critical care nursing is a special field of nursing that focuses on providing the best possible care to patients who are critically ill or unstable. Nowadays, critical care nurses are working in various environments and specialties, such as intensive care units and emergency departments. The nurses who work in intensive care units should be comfortable with technology and its use in critical care environment. The technology includes equipment such as hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring systems, intra-aortic balloon pumps, ventricular assist services and other advanced life support services.

  3. Academic Qualifications Anthony Mastella RNstudied in Camden County College and received a Liberal Arts and Science degree. Camden County College is counted among the largest and most comprehensive community colleges in New Jersey and nearby areas. The academic institution is committed to excellence and strives to enhance the quality of life in the area by preparing students to work and live in global economy. Anthony Mastella graduated summa cum laude from Helene Fuld School of Nursing and obtained his Nursing Diploma. Thereafter, he received Critical-care Certification as well as certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support areas from Virtua Health.

  4. Professional Experience Anthony Mastella RN joined Virtua Health as Critical Care Nurse in 1999 and has been working with the leading healthcare service provider since then. Apart from that, he has also been working with Cooper University Hospital since 2003. In 2010, he was given the Nurse of the Year Award by Virtua Health owing to his dedication to providing the best possible care to his patients

  5. Hobbies Having spent many years in the field of nursing, Anthony Mastella RNhas developed a thorough understanding of nursing related duties. He has served as a mentor to fresher graduate nurses so that they can easily adjust to the expectations of the field. He is a sports person who loves to play baseball in his free time. He supports Philadelphia Phillies and has been leadoff batter in the Varsity Baseball which was started by Shortstop. Moreover, he makes significant contributions to the Local Autism Fund.
