  1. Equipment • Flightsuit with lots of zips • Keep pants tied down • 2 sets of gloves • Sunglasses with UV and blue blocker • Sun block for Nose and Lips • GPS for 5-6 hours , wrap mode • Balaclava , neckcover • Headset or speaker mike

  2. Before • Monitor Weather = NOAA • Charge batteries • Fix kit , keep kit in same place together • All zips got strings • All gadgets got strings , or elastics • Maps • Pasta • Layered Clothing , old clothes, every 1000m one layer more

  3. Morning • Keep kit together • Energy bars, water • Car full tank • Proper breakfast

  4. Before Launch • Get ready and keep kit in shade or covered • Cover LCD Displays from sun • Tie on all goodies • Set harness for takeoff config • Clear GPS and mark takeoff as 001 GOTO • Pee • Cell phone handsfree kit, ring tone low

  5. Launch • Wait for 3 dustdevils to go past • Be prepared to launch forward in nowind • Have an easy to launch canopy • Release when you fall out of the thermal • If there was none, do not fly back in the same sink

  6. During Flight • Report your position regular , distance + bearing • Adjust your harness • Turn down radio to minimum • Be able to put on 2nd pair of gloves • Be able to close zips • Fly a docile wing to let toggles go • Water, energy bars , sip water

  7. Landing • Radio position , distance + bearing • Use cell phone from air • Land close to some road, farm house • Strong wind landings , docile wing • Open quick release safeties • Move your legs • Spot land

  8. Landed • Down and safe over radio • Bunch up wing • Pee before spectators arrive • Stop track log recording • SMS off coords, if you can , with distance • Give some directions • Keep radio on in case other pilots are around

  9. No SMS or Radio coverage • Get higher up • If emergency , take out SIM and use 112 • If hot, find shade and walk later • Now you need your camelbag and energy bars • Leave Glider at a GPS marked spot and fetch later
