  4. Responsibilities you played as a teacher • Preparing lesson notes • Taking classes • Conducting tests • Evaluating note books, answer scripts etc • Covering the syllabus • In-charge of school committees • Any other work given by the Principal

  5. Role that you think you are called up on to play at ZIET • Time table maker? • Producer of Modules? • Course Lecturer? • Liaison Agent of resource persons? • In-charge of mess etc committees? • Running errands for the institute? • Anything beyond these?

  6. Responsibilities you think you are called up on to take up at ZIET? • Teaching adults? • Writing modules? • Helping the Director? • Purchase distribute materials to participants? • Sitting through a few lecture sessions? • Inviting RPs from KVS and outside? • Running errands?

What does KVS expect you to do? • Recognize that Teaching are training are different aspects of education • Understand that your roles and responsibilities at ZIET differ vastly form that of a teacher • Acquiring a new corpus of knowledge, set of skills and attitudes as a Teacher Educator and Trainer

  8. 2. What does KVS expect you to do? • Evolve as a researcher in identifying the training needs of various categories of employees of the KVS • planner of training courses • Direct training skills • Evaluation skills • Follow up skills

Tasks before training • Conduct survey; do research • Identify need; define the needs • Plan the course • Decide HR requirements • Decide materials requirements • Decide infrastructural requirement • Produce the training Module • Prepare proposal and get approval • Contact trainees and do briefing

  10. Tasks during training • Transact knowledge to trainees • Develop skills in trainees • Cultivate attitudes • Test for objective realization • Anticipate problems and be proactive • Manage crisis situations • Enlist trainee support

  11. After training • Follow up • Analyze output • Evaluate training effectiveness • Review the entire training process • Modify the training process where required • Implement training • Evolve

Other Areas • Ability to prepare various types of input preformae, questionnaires etc • Ability to observe, discuss, survey, analyze….. to identify training needs • Ability to logically prepare Various documents – Manuals, modules, action research papers etc • Acquiring effective communication skills, training skills , evaluation skills, presentation skills etc • Acquiring TOT skills, and the knowledge of Adult training strategies/andragogy • Conducting action research • Directing training
