  27. eCOMPACT2020Commercial Taxes Dept., Govt. of A.P. • Commercial Taxes form one of the major revenue for the Govt of A.P. • Taxes are collected as per the provisions of various Acts, mainly APGST, CST, APET,Professional Tax and APLT. • For the purpose of ease in tax administration the state is divided into 21 Divisions. A division office is divided into circles and circles into units. There are 182 Circle offices and 404 Unit offices, in addition there are 48 Checkposts which monitor movement of commodities.
