Ardres, Pas d’Calais, Northern France

This small and friendly camp is set on the outskirts of the medieval town of Ardres, a pretty French location just a short drive from Calais.

The area has great local markets and seaside towns and is near to the popular town of Boulogne-sur-Mer

  • The camping village is your own private living space within the camp

  • A village typically consists of 16 tents, set in a horseshoe shape with a central marquee for dining/socialising

  • Each standing-height tent contains four beds and hard flooring

  • Each village is assigned a Village Manager to support your group throughout your stay

  • Meals are prepared by Acorn’s catering team and served in the marquee

  • Acorn’s staff are on hand 24 hours a day and will keep everyone active and entertained all day and into the evening

Fuel for adventure! the camp

Acorn Adventure promotes healthy and nutritious meals, which will keep children and adults fuelled for the day. A well balanced diet is essential which is why meals must consist of fruit, vegetables, starchy foods, dairy products and protein.

  • No food is deep fried, we prefer to grill, roast, poach or bake it

  • Meals are produced using fresh ingredients and minimal salt

  • All dietary and allergen requirements can be catered for, if we are advised in advance of your visit

  • Fresh fruit is always available

  • Happy to provide birthday cakes- just let us know

  • Light waterproof jacket for warmer wet weather (Decathlon offers these at good value)

  • EHIC Card

  • Socks (At least 2 pairs for each day)

  • Plastic bags for wet/dirty clothe

  • Trousers/Tracksuits/Long Shorts

  • Tie on for glasses are necessary for activities

  • Insect repellent (just in case)
