Modern man thought that when he got rid of God he freed himself from everything that stifled and oppressed him; • تصور الفلاسفه انه عندما تخلصوا من «الإله» انهم تحرروا ... • instead, he found that in killing God, he had only orphaned himself. • ولكنه علي العكس اكتشف انه بقتله هذا الإله قد يتموا نفسهم بنفسهم ...

5. Modern man cannot live happily with his atheism… ثبت ان الإنسان المعاصر لا يمكن ان يكون سعيدا مع كونه ملحداالإلحاد = التعاسه البالغه

6. بدون الله وبدون حياه ابديه = تعاسه ويأس لأن حياه تصبح بلا معني بلا قيمه وبلا هدف

But it's important to see that it is not just immortality that man needs if life is to be meaningful. • ولكنه من المهم ان نري ان الإنسان ليس في حاجه فقط الي اليقين من الأبديه لكي يكون لحياته معني • Mere duration of existence does not suffice to make that existence meaningful. • فالوجود في حد ذاته حتي ان كان الي الأبد ليس كافيا ان يجعل للوجود معني

11. فالوجود بدون الله لا يجعل للحياه اي معنيMan and the universe could exist forever, but if there were no God, that existence would still have no ultimate significance

Nietzsche نيتشة )1844-1900) توقع نيتشه انه سيأتي يوم يكتشف فيه الإنسان تداعياتالإلحاد انه سيؤدي به الي العدم والي تحطيم كل ما هو ذو معني اوذو قيمه Nietzsche predicted that some day, people would realize the implications of atheism, and this realization would usher in an age of nihilism that is the destruction of all meaning and value in life.

14. ثانيا: بدون اليقين في وجود الله وفي الأبديه لن يكون للحياه اي قيمه Second: without God and Immortality Life has NO VALUE

17. اذا كانت الحياه سوف تنتهي في القبر اذا فانه لا فرق اذا بين من عاش قديسا او ابليسافمصير الإنسان لا علاقه له بسلوكياته واعماله If life ends at the grave, then ultimately it makes no difference whether one has lived as a Stalin or as a saint since one's destiny is ultimately unrelated to one's behavior.

18. فاذا كان الله غير موجود = ليس هناك اي معيار موضوعي لما هو صواب او ما هو خطأ For regardless of immortality, if there is no God, then there can be no objective standard of right and wrong.

26. Dostoevsky He cannot live as though it's perfectly all right for soldiers to slaughter innocent childre لا يمكن ان يحيا الإنسان ويقول انه من «المتاح والمباح» قتل الأطفال الأبرياء

27. Dostoevsky Everything in him cries out to say that these acts are wrong, really wrong. But if God does not exist, then he cannot.

28. ثالثا واخيرا: لا يمكن ان يكون هناك اي هدف للحياه بدون الله وبدون اليقين بانه هناك حياه ابديه Thirdly, there is no ultimate purpose without immortality and God.

29. اذا لم يكن الله موجود فان حياتك ليست احسن من حياه اي كائن او اي حيوان If there is no God, then your life is not qualitatively different from that of a dog. That may sound harsh, but it's true.

30. حاول الفلاسفه دعاه الإلحاد ان يضفوا قيمه عي الحياه بدون الله فوقعوا في عدم الإتساق NO CONSISTENCY

32. In the upper story are meaning, value, and purpose. Now modern man lives in the lower story because he believes that there is no God

33. Life is meaningful … has significance, value and purpose Life is meaningless … absurd, no value and no purpose

34. he therefore makes leaps of faith into the upper story to affirm that life has meaning, value, and purpose يلجأ الي محاولات ايجاد اي شيء يؤمن به لكي يضفي علي حياته معني وقيمه وهدف But because he cannot live consistently and happily in such a world … ولكن الإنسان لا يستطيع ان يجد اي سعاده في تلك الحياه even though he has absolutely no right to since man and the lower story does not believe in God علي الرغم من انه لا يحق له ذلك بما انه لا يؤمن بوجود الله

35. سارتر Sartre He chose Marxism argued that one may create meaning for his life by freely choosing to follow a certain course of action It is inconsistent to say that life is objectively meaningless and then to say that one can create meaning for his life.

39. But if atheism fails in this regard, what about biblical Christianity? • According to the Christian worldview, God does exist, and man's life does not end at the grave.

40. In the resurrection body man may enjoy eternal life and fellowship with God. • Biblical Christianity therefore provides the two conditions necessary for a meaningful, valuable, and purposeful life: • namely, God and immortality.
