  2. Background: Loksathi Pratishthan, a Non Government Organization (NGO), established in 1995 with view to addressing the needs of the people of the under developed region. It is setup by group of individuals who were working in the development field many years. Legal Status: Registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 at office of the Dy. Charity Commissioner, Aurangabad (M.S.) [R.No: MH/62/95 (Dt.01.02.1995 & F-3077 (Dt.26.06.1995)] [FCRA No: 083750120] [PAN:AAATL5513H] Objectives: Integrated development of society ( special efforts towards socio-economic Development, livelihood promotion, natural resources development, Promotion of health and education.)

  3. Vision: Empowerment of communities for their integrated development. Mission: To work for integrated development of the poor through community action, empowerment of grass roots level organizations and Panchyat Raj Institutions (PRI), Institution building, policy advocacy and action oriented research.

Approach: • The organization strongly believes in the participatory approach as the only way of success of any intervention. • Commitment to the participation of the local community in the full cycle of the project, right from identifying the need to planning to implementation to long term sustenance. • Primary importance to role of women because they are more perseverance, sincerity and responsible for overall development of the family.

GOI, NABARD, NGO’s and Community towards Rural Prosperity Indo-German Watershed Development programme Background The programme is an integrated programme for rehabilitation of watershed, livelihood and natural resources development. Project Component: Soil and land management, Water management, Crop Management, Afforestation, Pasture and fodder development, Livestock Management, Rural energy Management, Community skill development & income generation. Women & land less development (Special efforts) Role Of NGO: Community awareness, capacity Building of stakeholders, Socio-technical support and linkages.

Mahrashtra Employment Guaranty Scheme Background: The scheme is under National Employment Guaranty Act 2005 and is sustainable livelihood and infrastructure development programme through 100 days employment guarantee to needful rural community. Component of the Scheme: Soil and water conservation measures by watershed line, Infrastructure and livelihood development. Role of NGO: Community awareness towards act; rights and responsibilities, Estimation of technical measures, work supervision, recording and reporting.

  11. MharashtraRural Water Supply and Sanitation Project Background: KfW (Germany) supported programme for water supply and to improve health condition of rural community. Component of the Program: Improvement of health and sanitation conditions through sustainable water supply scheme, Health Education, Empowerment for village based operation and maintenance with full participation of the villagers in all stages and with participation in capital cost and full O&M cost recovery. Role of NGO: Community awareness, capacity Building of stakeholders, Socio-technical support and linkages.

Organization’s Capability: • Active governing body members having strong perspective and better background of rural area. • 11 years working experience in natural resource and livelihood development. • Experienced multidisciplinary team regular staff and consultants having better working background in rural areas. • Organization having adequate assets to conduct every task smoothly.
