Proved for over 60 years in Fertilizer Industry Chemical / Pharmaceutical Industry Power Plants Special Centrifugal Pumps
Special Centrifugal Pumps Bungartz system • since 1930 • Contactless hydrodynamic shaft seal • by back vanes or additonal seal expeller
Advantages of System Bungartz • Sealing of shaft clearance (rotating shaft – standstill casing) hydrodynamic by additional vanes • During operation no extra seal required (for example stuffing box or mechanical seal) • Saving of a maintenance part
Back vanes H2 H2 vanes HS Hydrodynamic sealing
Pump with packing Friction between packing and shaft Lubrication required wear Leaking not avoidable Comparison Bungartz-Pump • No friction between packing and shaft • No lubrication required • No wear • No leaking during operation
Pump with packing Regular check Comparison Bungartz-Pump • Maintenance-free • Safety operation during long operation
Type: MOR • for small suction head • < 3-4 mCl • with one impeller • vanes < back vanes
Type: UMOR • For high suction head • Up to 30 mCl • With additional seal expeller
Heavy duty bearing bracket • Big shaft • Bearing design for worste case • There are pumps in operation, we have delivered 40 years ago
Model M-UMOR Circula-tion port Back vanes vanes Centrifugal governor Stuffing box Seal expeller
Design: M-MOR • wearing plates with simple geometry • wearing plates are cheap spare parts • wearing plates are also available in materials with high hardness
Design: SK-MOR • Welded construction • Materials available, which are not castable • for example Zirconium, Titanium, Tantal • Using of homogeneous milled materials
Design: E -MOR • Cast iron coated with rubber
Design: P-Si-MOR • Pump of Silicon Iron • For very corrosive fluids (80%H2SO4, t = 160°C) • additional amoured with grey cast iron
Fertilizer Industrie Ammoniumnitrat Phosphoric Acid Sulphuric Acid Urea Melt Example for Applications
Ammoniumnitrat (96-98%) • With heating • With heat detector connections • With drain device • With Connections for flushing
98% AN - Melt • Liquid near the boiling point • Special pump with low NPSH
99,6% AN-Melt • T = 175°C
Ammoniumnitrat (max 70%) • With mechanical seal • Throttle bushing
Sulphuric Acid • Horizontal Pump • Type MOR (98% Sulphuric Acid, tmax 90°C) • Type P-Si-UMOR ( Sulphuric Acid, t > 100°C, with solids) • Vertical Pumps • With bearing in the liquid • Without bearings in the liquid
Sulfuric Acid • Duplexmaterials • Nickel based alloys • Silicon Iron
Sulphuric Acid • Hydrodynamic shaft seal • T > 100 °C • No problems with solids
Phosphoric Acid • Horizontal Pumps Type M-UMOR • Vertical Pumps Type T (without bearings in the liquid • Material depending on the concentration and the solids (for example Gypsum)
Phosphoric Acid • M-MOR or M-UMOR • With wear plates • similar Sanicro28 • also for gascontaining liquids
Phosphoric Acid • Without bearings in the liquid • lenght up to 1,2m
Nitric Acid • For high suction heads • 1.4301 (middle concentration) • 1.4361 (high concentration)
Urea Solution and Urea Melt Vacuum 0,3 bar abs • T = 140 °C
Urea Melt • with stuffing box • with heating
