  2. Location Totalling 513,120 square kilometres Thailand is the world's 50th largest country in land mass, while it is the world's 20th largest country in terms of population. The country is located at the center of Indochina Peninsula and South East Asia. It is bordered by Burma ,Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia. Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam , Indonesia and India.

  4. Climate The local climate is tropical and characterized by monsoons. There is a rainy, warm, and cloudy southwest monsoon from mid-May to September, as well as a dry, cool northeast monsoon from November to mid-March.

Flag This is the flag of Thailand. • Red represents the blood spilt to protect Thailand's independence and often more simply described as representing the nation. • White represents the religion of Buddhism, the predominant religion of the nation • Blue represents the monarchy of the nation, which is recognised as the centre of Thai hearts.

  6. Emblem Emblem Of Thailand. National Emblem of Thailand, depicting dancing Garuda with outstretched wings. It symbolizes government and people of Thailand, as Lord Vishnu symbolizes King of Thailand

  7. Bangkok- Capital Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is also its largest urban region and primate city. Bangkok is known to be the political, social and economic centre of Thailand and contributes considerably to South East Asia and Indochina as well. The city is also acclaimed to be a global city, owing to its influence in the fields of art, politics, fashion, education and entertainment.

  9. Religion- Buddhism Buddhism is the national religion of Thailand but there is total religious freedom and all major religions can be found in practice. There is absolute freedom of religion - Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and other faiths are practiced and protected by the constitution. Buddhism is the faith of 95 percent of the population, 4 percent are Muslims, 0.5 percent and Christians, and the remainder Hindus, Sikhs and other religion. Despite the fact that Buddhism is the faith of majority, both the king and the government uphold and support all the religions accepted by the people

  10. History Thailand (previously known as Siam) has been populated ever since the dawn of civilization in Asia. There are conflicting opinions of the origins of the Thais. It presumed that about 4,500 years. Thais originated in north western Szechuan in China and later migrated down to Thailand along the southern part of China. They split into two main groups. One settled down in the North and became the kingdom of “Lanna" and the other one is in further south, which afterward was defeated by the Khmers and became the kingdom of “Sukhothai“.

  11. Food • Thai food is internationally famous. Whether chilli-hot or comparatively blends, harmony is the guiding principle behind each dish. • Top 3 Foods: • Tom Yum Goong • Pad Thai • GaengDaeng

  12. Lifestyle Thai families are close, and several generations may live in the same household. The oldest male is customarily the patriarch of the family. Members of the family (even adults) are traditionally expected to abide by the advice of their elders, although this is becoming less true. Families usually have two or three children.

  13. Occupation Occupations – just to name a few: • Orphanage Volunteering • Finance • Sales • Engineers As it covers basic jobs around this environment.

  14. Clothing The numerous ethnic groups of Thailand traditionally have produced a wide array of cotton and silk textiles. Each ethnic group wove textiles in distinctive and intricate patterns for day to day clothing and ceremonial purposes. (Like everyother place, they couldn’t live without clothing or you’ll know what’ll happen. Hehe B-) )

  15. Recreation Among the most popular sports are soccer, table tennis, badminton, basketball, and volleyball. Traditional sports include takroand martial arts. As in many parts of the region, people enjoy movies and television. Kite-flying is a popular activity, and many enjoy watching Thai chess, played without a queen and according to its own rules.

  16. Education • Education in Thailand is provided mainly by the Thai government through the Ministry of Education from pre-school to senior high school. A free basic education of twelve years is guaranteed by the constitution, and a minimum of nine years' school attendance is mandatory. It is basically like every other place in the world…

  17. Current Events FLOODS!!! • Residents in more districts of the Thai capital have been warned to evacuate as flood water continues to move south towards the sea. • The water has now reached the outskirts of the inner city, although the authorities are still battling to keep the commercial heart of Bangkok dry. • Two more industrial estates are threatened, as well as the relocated flood emergency headquarters.

  18. In Conclusion… • Thailand is a beautiful country (Says me)… • It has so many qualities and is a great place to visit. • The people, places, attractions and so many other parts of thailand is so natural and is a good example of Life in the Planet earth. SO GO THAILAND !
