How many grains of sand would you fathom that is? According to Google, it's seven quintillion, five hundred quadrillion grains of sand. This number is mind boggling. But even more impressive is the amount of data we have. By 2020, we are expected to have 4 times more data than grains of sand on the Earth. You may be wondering how this is possible. If so, pause and take a moment to think about how many devices we have that are creating content daily. DATA IN 1 MINUTE 72 Hours of Youtube video are uploaded. 2.5 Million pieces of content are posted on Facebook 26.4 Thousand posts are posted on Yelp. 48 K Apps are downloaded by apple users. 204 Million emails are sent each minute. DATA AROUND THE WORLD 90% of the World's Data Was created in the past two years. This shows the exponential growth of data in our society. 40 Zettabytes The estimated size of the digital universe by 2020. 3 Billion Online Did you know?
