  2. Leadership Development Strategy SIA’s Strategic Plan: Increase effective leaders within our organization. 2018-2020 Biennium Region Strategic Plan: Regions will increase the capacity of members to be effective leaders within our organization.

  3. How Can We Increase Effective Leaders? SIA Staff: Maintain current leadership development. Prepare to strengthen the organization’s leadership development. Region Governors: Encourage and support clubs to: Identify future leaders. Develop future leaders.

  4. Leadership Development Improvements Overlaid the ADDIE* (analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate) training and development methodology. Established goals for leadership development content: Content is applicable Content is credible Content is accessible Identified required technical and leadership skills for all region chair roles. *The ADDIE model will be explained in further detail

  5. Leadership Development Improvements (continued) Increased access to leadership development content by developing accompanying key information aides for Region Governors’ calls translated in all languages. Streamlined orientation across all region chair roles by overlaying the ADDIE model; also made orientation training content available on-demand.

  6. Overview the ADDIE Methodology Analysis Learning objectives are developed to address new behavioral and technical outcomes Handouts, process flows or other visual aids that will heighten the user experience are developed. SIA staff conducts research and creates content aligned to learning objectives. Learning aids/scripts are developed Presenters prepare and deliver. Stakeholders are surveyed on the effectiveness of training. Design Development Implementation Evaluation

  7. Staff Driven Leadership Development Objectives Role Delineation Study Training for Treasurers and other Club Leaders Increased Research Region Meeting Support Learning Management System (LMS) Removing Language and Scheduling Conflicts as Barriers

  9. Importance of Region Meetings Premier face-to-face leadership development opportunity for club and region leaders. Key updates on each area of SIA’s strategic plan. Ensures alignment throughout the federation.

  10. Working As One to Plan Region Meetings Allow time on your region meeting agendas for each Region chair, an Official Visitor and a staff (if invited) presentation. Deliver presentation on SIAs strategic direction if staff is not present. SIA staff will develop the content.

  11. Benefits of Working Together to Plan Region Meetings Helps increase our collective impact and unify our brand. Consistent messaging shared across the federation on SIA’s strategic initiatives. Region Leadership will have significantly less content to develop. Improves club and region leaders’ effectiveness in their roles.
