Limerick . I challenge you to write a proper limerick. Complete entries must have both the meter and they rhyme scheme marked. A limerick is a short, humorous, often ribald or nonsense poem. Limericks have anapestic meter and a strict rhyme scheme ( AABBA). Sample limericks:.
