The WGTA Convergence Centre: • Mississauga Technology BusinessAccelerator (MTBA) • The MTBA is a not-for-profit organization whose • mandate is to: • Assist technology companies to accelerate their growth, and greatly improve their speed of development and chances for long-term success • Serve as the focus for networking and outreach activities that support commercialization • Smart Growth - Research and People • Partnering and alignment for development of scientific • research and academic programming by academic • (university and college) and community hospitals; e.g. • new UofT medical academy, joint funding proposals • for research and commercialization services.
The WGTA Convergence Centre: Healthy City Stewardship CentreBased on the Mississauga-World Health Organization “Healthy City” program, and will operate to assist in further development of local social, educational, recreational and employment/volunteer opportunities and services (recruitment, retention, international exposure).
