Proposed process for development of strategic & work plans for 2014 and beyond July • GNC –CT to consolidate statements from working groups Tuesday PM & plenary discussion Wednesday AM (please put comments on flip charts) • Consolidated statements will be shared with partners and will be fed into Strategic Plan

GNC partnership (membership) Summary response from Lola was – • A partner concretely contributes to the work of the GNC /agenda (agency or individual • Transparent process – mechanism for decision making on this is the work plan – contributing to work plan – a member • No conflict of interest • Private sector – (requires further analysis)

Proposed process for development of strategic plan for 2014 and beyond August continued • SAG and some partners (TBD) to DRAFT 3 yr strategic plan 2014-2017 based on agreed strategic areas -suggested 1or2 day retreat with external facilitator -to include advocacy (specific issues - key entities) -to include working through strategic partnerships transparency in process of selection of such Strategic Partnerships Strategic Plan doesn’t need to be huge document – but would be the narrative outlining the rational & approaches to support the detailed workplan

Proposed process for development of work plans for 2014 and beyond September – October continued • Taskforce including GNC – CT & SAG representative(s) to draft 2 year GNC work-plan (broad outline) guided by strategic plan incorporating endorsed recommendations from governance review • Share with all partners – for discussion / elaboration and ultimate endorsement • Call for partner commitment to work-plan -as partner contribution and/or -as strategic partnership -no partner commitment for an activity – goes off the work plan • Q Funding - Partners to fund raise independently &/or as a consortia

  11. Proposed process for development of GNC -CT work plans for 2014 and beyond October/November • GNC – CT to develop a 1 yr work plan to support the GNC work plan incorporating endorsed recommendations from governance review

Proposed process for monitoring of work plans for 2014 and beyond • Review progress against GNC work plan quarterly GNC CT work plan monthly -What is on track and not on track -What are the blockages and challenges that need to be addressed • Revised and adapt workplans as required • Review of strategic plan bi annually

For 2014/2015 – Thought for partners & NCCs • When considering 2013 work plan and key issues that have been identified for 2014 (and beyond) please start to consider commitment that your agency could potentially make to support the work plan for 2014/2015 • Discuss with your HQ so you have idea of potential to commit when work plan being developed (eg member of taskforce, providing technical support - quick response or substantial support in key areas..etcetc)
