  3. Many students choose to complete their first 2 years towards their bachelor’s degree at a community college and then transfer to a 4-year university.

  4. Why earn a Bachelor’s Degree? • The more education you have, typically, the more income you’ll earn. • Many careers require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. • Earning a bachelor’s degree will allow you to become more competitive in the job market.

Benefits of Transferring… • Smaller class sizes • Tuition is a lot cheaper • Guaranteed or priority admission to numerous universities/colleges • Transfer as a junior • Distinguished faculty with professional expertise and dedication to teaching • Financial assistance and support services • Freedom to explore numerous majors and/or career options

  14. Make a Transfer Plan • Meet with a counselor to create a Student Education Plan (SEP) • Schedule an appointment, not a drop-in • Create a semester by semester plan • Check back with the counselor each semester for changes in requirements or timelines.
