  2. Introduction “A smart home accessory which allows the user to manipulate the appliances via his/her cellphone”. Present applications work on the infra red platform while this device uses the mobile phone transmission technology which has the potential to revolutionize the whole concept of smart homes.

Objective Of Project • The main aim of “Universal Mobile Automation System (UMAS)” is to spread the luxury of smart living to even common people at an affordable price. • The main idea is to provide a reliable way to cheap automation which will revolutionize the very thought of smart living and energy efficiency.

  5. Birth Of UMAS • The notion was to develop a system which can fulfill multifold objectives like- • smart home systems • smart vehicular system • serial automation • energy conservation.

  6. Four Modules Of Operation • Operation of Devices • Status Finder • Wireless Robot Motion Control • Wireless Control of the circuit through Laptop

  8. Future Robustness Prototype Commercial Aspect A large number of devices can be operated. Other wireless Protocols or devices can be connected. Costs are reduced when produced in bulk. More security –Password authentication Replacing Voice Response by tone generation. • Only 8 Devices are operated. • Motion of Wireless Robot is shown. • 6 PCB’s • Costs Rs2500/- • Audio Message.

Present Applications • Energy Saving • Enhancement of user mobility • Simple user interface makes our project suitable for every age group. • The wireless robot controlled by this system can be used for military purposes as well as in disaster management • Security Systems • The fm transmitter comes handy for operating the devices for short ranges • It can be used as vehicle immobilizer

Future Aspects • Data Retrieval Important data like medical reports from the hospitals, personal records from home computers and personal response system for smarter and more efficient retrieval can be created. • Serial Automation Tedious and time consuming jobs of serial automation like operation of street lights. • Agriculture Irrigation Purposes-Operation of tube well motors

Conclusion • One of the most interesting aspect of this project is its economic feasibility. • This project is designed so as to fit into the budgets of classes as well as masses. • As this project is neither bulky nor complicated as compared to the other ace hardware solutions available in the market, it can definitely create a wave among the users.
