  11. Basic Examination Equipment • Nasal Speculum • Speculums increase the size of the hole. • Examine the inside of the nose

  12. Ophthalmoscope • Examine the inside of the • eye-blood vessels, retina, optic disc

  13. Otoscope • Examines the inside of the ear—ear drum

  14. Tongue depressor • Use to move the tongue out of the way when doing a oral examination--mouth

  15. Reflex Hammer • Test the reflexes –knee, elbow wrist

  16. Tuning Fork—test hearing, and for fractures

  17. Stethoscope • Listen to body Sounds Diaphragm- Bell-

  18. Gloves Protection

  19. Tape measure Measure stuff
