  1. The Travel Winners (Traveler’s Choice) 2013 in India Travelling in India can be anything but dull. The country has something exotic for everyone, and hence is thronged by thousands of travelers all around the globe. If you call yourself a backpacker, this blog will surely grab your interest. While searching on web, I got this list of India’s top in travelling.

  2. You may have been through such list in past, but this time a few new categories have been added like the best Responsible Tourism Outfits/Initiatives, Best Cruises and Best Upcoming Destinations. The survey was done by one of the leading travel magazines in India. A few of the results can be surprising; though the overall list looks OK. • The list of the winners goes as: • The most visited State: Goa

  3. • The best Summer Destination: Darjeeling • The Best Winter destination: Kerala • The most popular Hill stations: Dalhousie and Ooty • The best Beach: Kovalam (Kerala) • The most popular city: Jaipur

  4. • The best Adventurous Destination: Leh Ladakh • Wildlife Park: Kaziranga National Park • Heritage Destinations: Taj Mahal & Fatehpur Sikri • Pilgrimage destinations: Tirupati and Vaishno Devi • Responsible Tourism: Ladakh Homestays • The best Upcoming destination: Arunachal Pradesh • Luxury Hotels: Taj Hotels • Heritage: Umaid Bhawan Palace The warm beaches in Goa and Kerala were the most visited tourist destinations in 2102. Both these states gain almost equal votes, though Goa grabs the first position with a small margin. The Rajasthan and Adman could make it to the 3rd and 4th position respectively, which could easily be predicted by any traveler.
