The CNSA stated that the satellite is an essential component of China’s Gaofen project and will further enhance China’s self- sufficiency rate for hyperspectral satellite remote sensing data. Friday’s successful launch marked the completion of China’s Gaofen project’s space segment construction. The Gaofen project, which was started, is now China’s high-resolution Earth observation system’s backbone network.
