  9. Main Routes for Transit Transport • From Japan, Korea, USA, etc. • via Chinese seaports: Lianyungang, Qingdao, Tianjin, and • land posts in the west: Alashankou, Horgos, Turugart, Irkeshtan • to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, etc.

  10. Land Posts and International Highway Transport Routes in Xinjiang • 14 land posts with neighboring central Asian countries: • 7 with Kazakhstan, 2 with Kyrgyzstan • 1 with Pakistan, 4 with Mongolia • 26 highway routes for cargo transport • 27 highway routes for passenger transport

  11. Investment in Highway Transport Infrastructure in Xinjiang • 80 million USD in rehabilitation of 1754km highways connecting land posts • 1.5 billion USD in construction of two truck routes: Urumqi-kashi and Urumqi-Yining expressway

  12. Cooperation with Central Asian Countries in Transport Infrastructure Construction • 60 million RMB aid to rehabilitate the road connecting China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan • further cooperation under discussion
