  3. Journeying … where to ? "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you“ ?

  4. Promise and blessing I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing! And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Gen 12:2-3

  5. …you shall be a blessing … in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed! First fulfillment in Jesus Christ/Yeshua Hamashiah Second fulfillment: in the millennial kingdom Jesus will come again and set up his earthly kingdom for a thousand years approx. 2000 years after Abram

  6. Blessing and curse… - depend on our attitude to Israel, the descendants of Abraham - if we bless Israel, God will bless us - if we curse Israel = wish or do it evil, we stand under the curse of God

  7. Journey into the unknown Abram trusts God and obeys

  8. First promise of land And the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land."So he built an altar there to the LORD who had appeared to him. Gen 12:7

  9. Lot chooses the Jordan valley

  10. Second promise of land Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward! For all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. Arise, walk about the land through its length and breadth; for I will give it to you. Gen 13:14-17

  11. Lot is being kidnapped… Abram with his 318 trained men frees Lotwith his possessions, and also the women, and the people.
