  5. Alguns adjetivos e advérbios têm a mesma forma. Os mais comuns são: fast hard late fine low high early straight long

  6. Observação 1 Hard (advérbio)significa arduamente, muito, intensamente Hardly (advérbio)significa quase não, quase nunca, raramente Exemplos: The principal works hard . (trabalha muito) Her son hardlystudies . (quase não estuda)

  7. Observação 2 Late (advérbio)significa tarde Lately (advérbio)significa ultimamente Exemplos: She usually comes home late . (chega tarde) My sister hasn’t studiedlately . (não tem estudado ultimamente)

  8. Adverbs of manner - position Após o verbo ou após o complemento ou objeto. Exemplos: The police officer camesilently . (o advérbio veio após o verbo) The police officer openedthe doorquietly . (o advérbio veio após o objeto)

  9. Adverbs of place - position Após o verbo ou após o complemento ou objeto. Exemplos: My unclelivesin Scotland. (o advérbio veio após o verbo) Those womenstudiedEnglishin Michigan. (o advérbio veio após o objeto)

  10. Adverbs of time - position No final ou no início da sentença. Exemplos: Some friends went to Chicago last night. (no final) Yesterday I started the task . (no início)

  11. Adverbs of frequency - position Antes do verbo principal ou após o verbo auxiliar (be, have, will, would, can, had etc) são eles: hardly occasionally usually rarely ever frequently always often normally constantly seldom never generally Exemplos: He isalwaystrying to sing. She often goes to the movies on Fridays.

  12. Observação 3 Quando existem vários advérbios na oração, a ordem é modo - lugar - tempo MuLaTa Exemplos: They danced very/slowly 1/at the party2/yesterday 3/. She sang /beautifully 1/in Chicago2/last month 3/.

  13. Observação 4 Para os verbos de deslocamento(to go, to come, to arrive, to travel, to drive, to fly...)a ordem é lugar - modo - tempo LiMiTe Exemplos: She went to /Rome 1 /by train2/last week 3 /. Paul arrived from /Boston 1/by plane2/last week3 /.
