  3. Bunny Cake - Introduction You may not realize it now, but the little traditions that occur around your house will be things that you will remember and probably carry on yourself when you’re older. I remember when I was your age I found an article in a magazine that showed how to make a “Bunny Cake” to decorate your Easter luncheon table. I remember being so excited when my mom made me “in charge” of the dessert and turned me loose in the kitchen. My “Bunny Cake” was such a hit that it kind of was expected to show up year after year. Now, I’ve passed on this tradition to my kids and they take turns making our “centerpiece dessert” each year. Today, I would like to share this tradition with you and show you how to decorate your very own “Bunny Cake”.

  4. Bunny Cake - Conclusion I always get a kick out of seeing my kids make this cake each year. It’s such a neat design and so easy to put together. Why don’t you ask your mom for permission to make the dessert this year for your Easter dinner! Don’t tell her what you’re planning on making and just watch her be amazed at what you created!!

  5. Introduction – Flag Shirt Rebecca Voth, ‘08 I am proud to be anAmerican. Every year on the 4th of July, Memorial Day, September 11th and other American holidays, I wear a shirt that my family and I have been making for years ever since we saw them in a magazine. We call them flag shirts, and they make great Christmas gifts. Today I will show you how to make these easy, fun, and inexpensive gifts that your friends and family will love.

  6. Conclusion – Flag Shirt I always enjoy making these great American shirts each year with my family. Everyone always makes a different design. On the 4th of July, it is fun to walk around, all wearing our flag shirts. People will ask us “where did you get those shirts?” or “did you make those?” This year, why don’t you make a flag shirt or two to give to your family or friends for Christmas? They will love receiving a homemade gift from you, and they will be able to wear it on the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or any other day. So get out your fabric paint and let’s show some American pride!

  7. Intro-Jack-O-Lantern Amanda Pelletier ‘08 What is orange, has a face, and can be seen on Halloween? That’s right; it’s a Jack-O-Lantern!!! I’m not talking about those plastic ones you get at stores. I’m talking about the ones that are traditional and homemade. These are simply pumpkins with faces that can be scary, funny, or gross, and that you make yourself! I’ve seen many different faces since the day I was born, because my birthday is the day before Halloween. My family makes at least one every year to be used as Halloween décor. Today, I am going to share with you how to make your own, customized Jack-O-Lantern!

  8. Conclusion-Jack-O-Lantern Every year at Wal-Mart, I see at least one plastic Jack-O-Lantern. Boring! If you’ve always bought those plastic pumpkins, you should really try making your own. Its fun, a good way to spend time with your family, and all of your neighbors will be jealous! So go out there, get a non-plastic pumpkin, and start carving!

  9. Buckeye Treats – Intro (Grant Miller, 2011) Have you ever been asked; what’s your favorite holiday? I bet you say Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mandela Day, or Kwanza. Well I always say a good ole Ohio State Buckeyes football game. Game day is a great time for food and spending time with friends. Every team has their own signature food, the Washington Redskins have redskin potatoes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers have corn. Have you ever wondered what signature treat belongs to the mighty Ohio State Buckeyes? Well buckeyes of course. I’m not talking about the poisonous nut; I’m talking about the tasty delicacy. The peanut butter balls covered in a chocolate coating. Today, I am going to show you how to create and enjoy this wonderful treat.

  10. Buckeye Treats - Conclusion Now, what are you going to say when you are asked what your favorite holiday is? Are you going to say one of those lame old holidays like Halloween or Groundhog Day, or will you say an Ohio State football game? This tasty treat is good for not only Ohio State games but also for any other game or Holiday. Everyone loves this snack, even the whole Michigan Wolverines football team would be jealous of this wonderful snack.

  11. Reindeer Cookies Intro-Amber Schwister, 2010 Imagine this; you’re at the dinner table, surrounded by your family. You’ve just finished Christmas dinner and everyone around you is stuffed full and laughing, including you. Then your mom and aunt walk in with dessert. That stuffed feeling that was there a minute ago is immediately gone the moment you see a platter of soft, sweet smelling sugar cookies. You devoured three before anyone had their first one finished. The cookies were amazing, as all of the food was, but wouldn’t it be so much better if they were decorated? I mean, they would be pretty. And…what’s a Christmas cookie without color, decoration, and creation from its maker? Today I’m going to show you an easy, creative, and cute way to decorate a Christmas cookie like a reindeer.

  12. Reindeer Cookies - Conclusion So maybe this year for Christmas you can ask if you can make these.. Who knows, people might really love these cute little reindeer. It could even become a new family Christmas tradition! I know that Ican’t wait to make these again and… maybe start a tradition for my family. And I have no doubts that it’ll be a HUGE hit!

  13. Summer Fathke-2013 Introduction So whenever you think of your favorite holidays you probably think of Christmas, Thanksgiving, or even Valentine’s Day, but my favorite holiday is St. Patrick’s Day. I like it because, well, my favorite color is green and St. Patty’s Day is basically THE green holiday, but it’s not just that. This holiday is the holiday where you know that winter is long gone and it is time for spring! This holiday is filled with flowers, sunshine, rainbows and you guessed it, Leprechauns and their gold! So to celebrate this beautiful holiday every year I like to make delicious decorated cupcakes. Today I will be sharing how to prepare these rainbow St. Patty’s Day cupcakes.

  14. Conclusion Spring is here, and these treats are waiting to be made! So instead of sitting around the house beating up your siblings on St. Patrick’s Day for not wearing green, you should make these! And, now that you know how to make these scrum-didly-umptious treats I hope you decide to make them when St. Patty’s Day rolls around the corner.

  15. Catherine Coronado-2013 Introduction Honestly, I’ve never met anyone who’s celebrated Cinco de Mayo. Not even my grandparents who are Hispanic do anything other than saying “Oh look, it’s the fifth of May, that’s a Mexican holiday y’know.” Majority of America doesn’t celebrate Mexico’s victory in an old war against France; actually, it’s only celebrated in Puebla, Mexico. Even though we don’t usually celebrate Cinco de Mayo, it isn’t hard to get festive with a Mexican dessert. The mixture of spicy ancho chili and sweet Mexican chocolate in this unique cupcake will have you craving more after the first bite. So today I will show you how to make Mexican Chocolate cupcakes, as well as Ancho Spice Icing to top it off.

  16. Conclusion Although not many people celebrate Cinco de Mayo, or even know what it’s about, these cupcakes can be a great tradition for any holiday in your house. I know that making these cupcakes was a bit challenging, but they were very yummy, and I will definitely be making them again. These cupcakes were a bit unique, and were spicy, which isn’t “natural,” but I enjoyed them. I hope you enjoyed these yummy cupcakes, and I hope you’re inspired to go out try an unusual food, because sometimes they might surprise you.

  17. ?? -2012 Introduction In New Zealand and Australia, every year we mourn on the 25th of April, or ANZAC Day. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The gloomy day is for remembering all the Kiwi and Australian people who went to fight in WWI. Traditions such as wearing little fake poppies, because of the red poppies in Flanders Field, have carried on. Because I come from New Zealand, I have been to services, worn poppies, and eaten some special cookies called ANZAC Biscuits which I am going to show you how to make today.

  18. Conclusion ANZAC Day is really for mourning and remembering, but I think the poppies, and of course the cookies actually make it fun! On the 25th of April, or any other day, you can make these cookies and enjoy them like me, my family, and my Kiwi and Australian friends do!

  19. 2012 Introduction Flowers blooming, bees buzzing, the smell of warm spring in the air. Spring reminds me of one thing only and that is happy new life. Eggs are a symbol of new life, simply because they hold young spirits inside. Wouldn’t it be nice to make a craft that you can use to decorate you house around this joyful time. Don’t worry cause now you can! Today I am going to teach you how to dye Easter or Springtime eggs.

  20. Conclusion These eggs are a wonderful way to spend time with your family and friends and express your excitement about spring. My mom and I always love dying eggs every year, they are special to us. I hope that you can find something you enjoy sometime of year with your family. Do something a holiday season that you can relate to and that makes you smile. Now you or your family will not be bored this spring!

  21. Heather Quisenberry-2013 Introduction When I was little I used to have tea parties all the time. My parties were all out including, real tea, and pastries and of course my dolls and stuffed animals. The best times to have these parties were in the spring of course! At my parties my mom would make these wonderful cupcakes. They were light, airy and full of flavor! I didn’t realize how great these really were until the past few years. They are so moist and delicious and I always wondered, “How does she make these?” I thought maybe it was an old family recipe or maybe she made it from scratch. Well actually she just found it online! Many people don’t realize the little things in life are the ones that are the most important. One of the little things in my life was the cupcake.Today I will be telling you how to make these tasty Pound Cake Cupcakes for spring. Enjoy!

  22. Conclusion You now see how easy and delightful these cupcakes are. As a bonus they are very delicious. I want you to know that this is an easy and simple recipe for the whole family to savor. You can go out and make these too. How can we make this Conclusion better?
