Vision To be Europe’s most respected Training and Modelling Association, underpinned by a spirit of enterprise and adventure. Goal To promote the understanding of ETSA and its constituent outputs to its members and the public. Mission To be a beacon of excellence in enabling our members to learn, engage and interact with European and international training, modeling and simulation communities.
History • Founded in Paris in 2004 • Initially designed to assist NTSA and ITEC to support the ITEC conference programme • 8 year relationship with NTSA and ITSA • Restructured in 2009 – ‘not for profit’ Community Interest Company (CIC) • Pan European Board – French, Dutch, German & UK • Formal Memorandum of Agreement with NTSA signed at I/ITSEC 2011
ETSA today • Membership covers 8 European Countries • Both Ministries of Defence (MoDs) and Industry • ETSA activities • Conferences • Seminars • Networking activities • Quarterly newsletter • Special relationship with ITEC and I/ITSEC (NTSA) • ETSA is the only European Association recognised and supported by NTSA • ITEC Ltd is a member of ETSA
ETSA future • New Chairman and revised Board responsibilities agreed May 2012 • Develop more formal relationships with other associations including • ADIS • MIMOS • SISO • Royal Aeronautical Society – Flight Simulation Group • Greater presence at conferences/ exhibitions • SimDef 2012 • I/ITSEC 2012 Special Session • Engagement with EU and EDA
What ETSA can do for you • As an independent ‘not for profit’ organisation link the Training and Simulation community across Europe to create business • Promote your company’s capabilities outside your normal market place • Increase exposure for members at exhibitions, seminars and conferences • Use the ETSA/NTSA relationship to help members find US Partners • Through ETSA Newsletter provide regular detailed update of the global Training and Simulation market
