  8. Robert Louis Stevenson • Stevenson was born in 1850 in Scotland. • In 1883 he publishes Treasure Island. • In 1886 he publishes The Strange Case of Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. • Robert Louis Stevenson died in 1894.

Mark Twain • Mark Twain, born Samuel Langhorne Clemens ,was born during Haley’s Comet and died 75 years later upon its return. • In 1883 He published an auto biography titled Life on the Mississippi. • He starts a publishing company in 1884 with Charles L. Webster. Twain then publishes The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. • In 1888 he gets a Master of Arts degree from Yale University. • In 1889 he published A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. • Sadly in 1910 he passed away.

Frances Hodgson Burnett • Frances Hodgson Burnett was a famous writer during our time. • In 1886 she published Little Lord Faunteroy. • However, she started writing in a magazine published in 1885. • Sara Crew was published in 1905. • However she is most famous for her book, later movie, The Secret Garden,

  12. Susan B. Anthony • Susan B. Anthony founded the National Woman Suffrage Association in 1869. • She was the VP until 1892, when she became President. • In 1890 she merged with the American Women Suffrage Association becoming the National American Woman Suffrage Association.

Annie Oakley • Born in Woodland, Ohio August 13th 1860, Annie Oakley, Born Phoebe Ann Moses, was a very famous women sharp shooter. • She married a sharp shooter, Frank Butler and they developed an act together. • She could do many cool and interesting acts including shooting a target in a mirror while looking the other way. • Annie Oakley was the first and very successful woman sharpshooter.
