  1. Falling Piece(this is a “Killer Left”) • Want to slow down the game? Use your finger to touch the resistor marked R8 just above the right button. Don’t worry, it won’t hurt you or the game! • Open this paper for a list of the pieces. ROW Move the falling piece LEFT Move the falling piece RIGHT Try to fill the ROWs. They’ll disappear when you do, moving the other dots down. Neat Stuff • The RetroGame is very safe. Kids can safely touch any wire or part on the board without damaging the game or themselves! • However, the game has small parts that can be removed. Please keep the game away from very small children. • If the game starts to operate erratically, the batteries are probably getting weak. The game eats batteries. Sorry about that! Notes to Parents (Josh’s hands) How To Play • The game has electronic wiring on the top and bottom. If you touch it with your fingers the game will do crazy things! But it won’t hurt you or the game. • So to play the game normally, you should try to hold the game so not to touch the wiring (much) on the bottom. Hold it like this: how to drop pieces on you! Can you defend yourself? Sure you can! But for how long? Show the Retris-bot who is boss! The Retris robot is out to defeat you! It knows one thing, and one thing only, How to Hold the Game Retris 2007 For sponsoring the PCBs! Scoring Special thanks to: • Each time a piece successfully moves down, you get 10 points. • Each time a line is cleared, you get 100 points. • Each time you move, you lose 1 point. • 500 bonus points each time you clear all pieces off of the display! • The score is shown at the end the game. Retris 2007 & How To Win For assembling the PCBs! Instruction Manual • There’s no “winning” in Retris. You just try to get the highest score. • The pieces come in randomly, so you need luck to win! • Each time you clear 2 lines, the game speeds up. • After 32 cleared lines, it slows back down again. • You can move a piece after it hits bottom, but be quick about it! 2. Retris2007 Here is a list of the pieces the Retris-bot will attempt to drop on you! Although it selects what piece to drop randomly, some pieces have higher odds of being dropped. For example, the odds that “The Filler” will be dropped is 2 in 16. This means that on average you’ll get “The Filler” 2 times for each 16 pieces dropped. “The Filler” 2:16 This is a great piece! It can be used to fill in anywhere. Remember that it can slide under already set pieces! “Big Filler” 3:16 The 2-block Big Filler is very useful for filling in long tubes, though it’s sometimes a pain when you need a flat piece. “Flat Filler” 3:16 This is one of the pieces you’ll see most. It can fill-in holes that get you the Clear-Display bonus. It can also slide under set pieces. The Big Tube is useful when you need to fill in a bunch of lines at once. Though it can be a killer near the top of the display! “Big Tube” 1:16 “FLAT Dude” 1:16 Flat Dudes are usually quite harmless, except when they force you to cover up lower holes! Unfortunately, you’ll see a lot of these. On the bright-side, they can fill-in a single hole below. Much better than their cousins “Yikes” & “Bob”. Just like its brother, this killer can mess up your plans. Remember though, that you can fill-in the hole by sliding a piece under this one. “Killer Left” 2:16 “Killer Right” 2:16 This piece will mess you up every time. It’s just as bad as its brother piece over there Just like its brother “Yikes”, this piece will mess you up every time. You always get it when you don’t want it! “Yikes” 1:16 “Bob”1:16
