MISSION STATEMENT DNR Wildfire Aviation provides aerial firefighting assets (2/6/8) that can respond within minutes of notification anywhere in the state in order to meet our strategic goal of containing WA DNR jurisdiction, and Agency partners, in order to restrict wildfires at or below 10 acres in size; positioned at strategic locations during Washington’s highest fire danger months.

AIRCRAFT ACQUISITION 2019-2021 BUDGET REQUEST (PUBLIC USE AIRCRAFT) • Refurbish One(1) USFS Federal Excess Personal Property (FEPP) UH-1H Huey to • USFS Cooperator Standards in Order to Fulfill the Growing Wildland Initial Attack (IA) • Response Needs Within Washington State. • Cost: $1.1M (Aircraft + Fuel Chase Truck) • Time: 6-9 Months After 2019 Fire Season • Completion: Spring of 2020 Bell B-205A++ (Huey) Duramax Fuel Chase Truck

AIRCRAFT ACQUISITION 2019-2021 BUDGET REQUEST (TYPE CERTIFIED AIRCRAFT) • Procure One(1) Standard Category Type 3 (Small) Aircraft in Order to Fulfill Aerial • Firefighter, Training, Remote Maintenance, Mission Critical Passenger, Equipment, Parts, • and Supplies Movement Needs at Reduced Cost Improving Speed and Safety. • Cost: $2.0M (Aircraft + Fuel Chase Truck) • Time: 1-3 Months After 2019 Fire Season • Completion: Winter of 2020 Bell B-206 L4 (Long Ranger) Duramax Fuel Chase Truck
